...oh... and I've found the way to get comment traffic on a naming blog (and it appears that other namers have found this true too) is to take more controvercial positions. Rip Google's name to shreds and I'll guarantee you will find yourself some commenters.

...of course you may mysteriously lose access to your Google Adsense account...

That's surely part of what I'd like to hear. I'd also like to hear about views and opinions that you developed on names that you encountered in your analyzing phase...

But I'll still be happy if you just keep doing what you're doing. I'd considered doing something similar, but I was unable to stay focused enough. I got distracted by news and other bloggers...

Hi Tate,

Congratulations for leaving the first comment on this blog! And thanks for the warm welcome. I'm a recent subscriber to Thingnamer and have been enjoying it a lot.

My experience as a name analyst informs all my posts here, but I also intend to write in more general terms about names: different types of name, trends in naming, etc. Is that the sort of thing you have in mind?

Great to have such a strong addition to the world of blogs about naming. I look forward to reading more of your views.

I'd be interested in hearing some of your analysis from your years as a name analyst.
